  • Head of Product and Technology

    Technology is a critical competitive advantage at Guaranteed Rate Insurance. We are searching for the best of the best product and technology leader that has successfully built game-changing insurance tech that has transformed the industry. As our Head of Product & Technology, you will create a game-changing insurance tech platform that will set Guaranteed Rate Insurance apart from the rest of the industry. You will work relentlessly with the insurance executive team on technology execution and roadmaps to ensure that Guaranteed Rate Insurance has the most advanced technology solutions.     The Head of Product & Technology will drive our technology platform and execute all Guaranteed Rate Insurance product roadmaps. You will lead and have direct responsibility for all our technology, specifically, Product Engineering, Data, DevOps, Systems, and Telephony. You are an outcome-focused and data driven individual. You will work closely with key stakeholders at both Guaranteed Rate Insurance and Guaranteed Rate, Inc. to build products, drive priorities, communicate progress, and establish a proactive approach to developing a platform second to none in the insurance industry.

    • Generates new business sales, service/retain existing business, and close insurance sales.
    • Identifies and develops insurance prospects and appropriate markets.

    • Prequalifies insurance prospects for insurability and quality of risk.
    • Creates and maintains client or prospect lists.
    • Designs insurance plans and recommends coverages to clients.  Surveys loss exposures, needs, and possible uninsurable or difficult to insure exposures for clients.
    • Creates insurance proposals, makes sales presentations to prospective and existing clients on new and renewal business. Completes and submits applications and related documentation to appropriate insurance markets.
    • Develops, follows, and achieves sales objectives.
    • Prepares, requests, and delivers binders to insureds.
    • Asks for referrals from insureds to help generate new business.
    • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a high pressured, fast-paced environment effectively and in a highly professional and timely manner

    Job Requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3+ years commercial property & casualty insurance agency sales experience insurance sales
    • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelors’ Degree preferred
    • Must hold active Property & Casualty insurance license(s)

    Additional Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, insurance rating, and underwriting procedures.
    • Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain and underwrite assigned client and prospect lists.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 10 years of experience and expertise in insurance organic lead generation, procurement, and digital marketing.
    • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience with online and social media planning, buying,
      web/media analytics, and reporting.
    • Critical thinker who is an experienced expert at resource allocation, ROI calculation and resource optimization.
    • Ability to present complex concepts and make media and data recommendations clearly and effectively.
    • Experience and expertise using marketing research tools, a CRM platform, and 3rd party ad serving technology.
    • Google Analytics certification and experience with Google contacts.
    • Ability to work with MS Office product suite, including exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills.
